Mesh, Pumps and Poncho

pullover by Cooperative via Urban Outfitters // trousers by Topshop // jacket by Pinko
bag by Topshop // shoes by Spaziomoda Bologna // poncho - scarf by Urban Outfitters

As you may have seen on my Instagram, I'm currently in Munich, mainly for an appointment at a university which is situated here. So I thought, why not come here a few days earlier and celebrate my birthday (which by the way was yesterday) here?

I put yesterdays daytime outfit together, all around one of my favorite pullovers by Cooperative that I have bought in Urban Outfitters during my London trip (click for all of my London-related posts : OOTD - Day 1OOTD - Day 2OOTD - Day 3Sightseeing - Day 4), and my black trousers by Topshop. They don't only look quite nice together in my opinion, but they're really comfortable aswell, which is a really big Plus. I also really wanted to bring my Spaziomoda shoes in, which always make me think of the royal french court under Louis XIV. I'm pretty sure that they are by far my most comfortable heeled shoes, due to the big heel and the cut of them. I also wore a pair of nude, meshed socks with them to round the overall look up.
To give the whole look an edgier look, I incorporated a leather jacket by Pinko and my favorite Topshop bag. And finally, I took my poncho - scarf - kind of thing by Urban Outfitters with me to keep me warm.

Hope you like it. Have a nice evening!

Fall Fur

Jacket by Liu Jo // Turtleneck by MET // Jeans by &otherstories
Belt by Diesel // Shoes by Timberland // Bag by Liu Jo

Have I ever said that I love Fall? No? Now I have.
I love everything about Fall : the colder temperatures, the colorful trees, the clothes, ... Okay, I hate the rain and the horrible wind here in Luxembourg that we have all trough Fall, but hey, that's about it.

So I thought that I want to show you a first ouftit that I've worn pretty often these last couple of days. Even though it's not that special, I really like how it looks and how comfy it feels. I also love love love the faux fur jacket by Liu Jo that I got last winter. It really keeps me warm and looks pretty cool in my opinion, so I get a lot of wear out of it. Win-win situation, I guess! As the jacket is quite eye-catching, I wanted to keep the rest of my outfit as simple as possible. So I went for a basic medium-washed Jeans by &otherstories and a black turtleneck by MET. To top the look off, I choose my new Timberland's (that are like the comfiest thing in the world) and my Liu Jo bag, that matches the jacket.

Have a nice evening!

and after this?

'Luckily', I can say that I haven't had to deal with a lot of forever-goodbyes in my life. But those I had to let go, weren't easier because of it.

2 weeks ago, I had to say goodbye to a good friend of mine. A friend that I had known since I was 5 years old. A friend that I considered to be the nicest and funniest person that I know. A friend that I wish I could've spend more time with.

Since then, I have often thought about what death actually means. Is there something that will be afterwards? Or will we end in oblivion? What happens to the dead's mind? To his soul?

3 weeks ago, I would've said that I don't believe in a life after death. Now I'm hoping there is something left after we let this world behind us. I do somehow believe that there is a sort of second life. Not in a spiritual way - I don't believe in this whole paradise and hell-theory - but I do believe that people that we love never really leave. I do believe that they watch after us. I do believe that we can make them live on in a certain way as long as they're on our minds.

And what about the people that they leave behind? What about us?  I believe that we have to live on.
I guess there is no real answer to these questions. We can't know ; it's all a matter of belief and trust. But I guess I'll hold on to that idea that there is some kind of second life. And I guess people do have to continue their life, but for 2.

Never forgotten, always beloved!
